FRB's Kenya-West Pokot program is working to establish value chains for drought tolerant crops and fruit and medicinal trees, by using sustainable farming practices of agroforestry and bio-intensive farming. It seeks to address the need for food security among vulnerable households of 320 members of 16 Self Help Groups and 120 vulnerable students from 6 schools that are most adversely impacted by droughts and conflicts induced by climate change. The Program's Key Objectives:

1. Increase by 25% the knowledge and practice of sustainable production of drought Tolerant Crops and Trees among the 320 SHGs members and 120 students that are participating in this program by the end of 2019.

2. Improve by 25% the capacity of local partner Jitokeze Wamama Wafrika to implement Sustainable Food Security Programs in West Pokot county by the end of 2019
